I live in St. Louis, Missouri.  I’m extraordinarily blessed to be a husband to Polly, and a father to Mae.

You may be wondering,  what is the aim and purpose of this blog?

Maybe it would be easier to talk about my passion and hopes.

The Why: The reason I have started this website is simple: I want to grow and have an outlet  to explore ideas that are meaningful to me. Perhaps they might enrich your life too.

The blog will be structured loosely around three areas of focus:

Ideas. I have a passion for exploring and sharing ideas–especially the ones that take hold of us at the core of who we are and begin to weave themselves intuitively into the fabric of our thinking. This is why spirituality, God, and faith feels like a natural focus–these ideas help shape us and inform our thinking in every subsequent area of our lives.

Ideas are the seeds of all great change and achievement– both personally and socially. The things we create–be it products, businesses, or institutions begin with great ideas.

In this section I will explore ideas that help shape thinking and behavior.

Creativity. I am inspired and my passions are engaged in the creative process. I love when ideas culminate to bring about something new. The creative process is uniquely human and rooted in the divine–I believe God is creative in essence, and we participate in this essence when we are creative too.

Creativity takes a multitude of forms. Often creativity it is strongly associated with the artist, but the reality is that creativity occurs when anything new is brought into existence. This happens in every area of life–business, sport, relationships, etc…

Growth. I love to see positive growth and change, both personally and in others. Nothing excites me more than to see someone have an epiphany that changes the way they perceive and interact with the world. Personal growth leads to corporate health.

I am also energized when a group of people are able to grow something together that they could not otherwise bring about on their own. This is where the business element comes in. Excellent, inspiring businesses are grown when passionate, capable individuals work together toward a collective goal.
